Backyard Composting

The Cumberland County Improvement Authority continues to promote organic waste management through its sponsorship of a backyard composting course in conjunction with the Cumberland County Master Gardeners.  The Authority has sponsorsed a compost demonstration area at Wheaton Arts residents can visit year round.

The Authority works closely with the Wheaton Arts and the Cumberland County Master Gardener Organization to promote environmental stewardship throughout the county.  Look on our web site for the next compost course in the fall.
