2002 Community Environmental Enhancement Grant Program

The Cumberland County Improvement Authority announced today the recipients of their 2002 Community Environmental Enhancement Grants. The $300,000 program was established to assist community groups, environmental groups, non-profit groups, faith-based organizations, service clubs, and sportsman groups in preserving and improving the environment in Cumberland County.

“We were extremely pleased with the quality and comprehensive nature of the applications which were submitted for consideration,” said Cumberland County Improvement Authority Board Chairman Albert Kelly. “Improvement Authority staff met with all of the applicants in order to fully evaluate their proposals. The positive impact of the projects selected to receive a Community Enhancement Grant will be felt throughout the County. As a result, there will be new recreational facilities, park and picnic areas, and educational programs which will benefit all County residents.”
